Hi, I'm Vikki and welcome to
Vikki Harvey Counselling and Clinical Supervison

I am an easy going, friendly person, who enjoys bringing some peace and calm, alongside some occasional well timed humour to therapy.

The space and time is yours to use how you need to.

Together we can work through your thoughts, feelings and emotions, consider past incidents, repetitive patterns, focus on what will make you feel better by allowing you time to reflect without the fear of judgement or opinion.

I also specialise and have extensive experience working with unresolved childhood trauma.

About Me

I have extensive experience working within children and young people in secondary and primary schools as well adults in my private practice. I have also worked within local and national charities and for a national provider of children’s therapy.

Currently I run In Person and Online Counselling from my therapy rooms in North Devon,  as well as working 2 days a week in a secondary school setting with young people.

I am also a Clinical Supervisor

I offer a FREE 30min consultation for anyone considering counselling to ensure I am the right counsellor for you.

Real Voices: Past Clients Speak!

"It's wonderful being able to talk and make a connection. It's like talking to a friend rather than a professional"

"Vikki has been a great help, showing me new coping strategies"

"Thank you so much for all you helped me achieve. That rainbow inside will never leave me now thanks to you and me"

"Thank you for all your support. I never thought I could build myself back up again, but I am able to hold my head up high”

I've tried and had so many types of therapy for over a decade, but Vikki's approach was incredibly tailored and unique to what I needed thanks to her range of experience and knowledge. I can safely say, she has changed my life! Vikki is everything you could want in a counsellor, and I am incredibly grateful for her service.

Vikki was fantastic for me, when I really needed someone to talk to and help me through a difficult time, I have used Vikki’s tips which have been very useful for me going forward.
Vikki was exactly what I needed at the time so I recommend her to anyone who finds them self in a bit of a hole.

Counselling

People come to counselling for a variety of reasons.

Maybe something has been troubling you for some time or you feel overwhelmed and don't know where to turn.

Maybe you feel anxious or depressed, or maybe you just need someone impartial to talk to, to figure out what is going on at the moment.

Counselling provides the space for you to sit with your thoughts, and reflect on what's affecting you. To focus on your thoughts and feelings or to change up unhelpful thinking styles.

Whatever it is, there is always a way through it and counselling can help you find it.

In Person
I offer a private therapy room based in Westward Ho!, North Devon if you are looking for in person counselling, or maybe walking therapy appeals.

Online
Don't dismiss the benefits of working therapeutically online. Imagine, no stress of getting to an appointment on time or maybe you prefer the comfort of your own surroundings, you might even be based elsewhere in the world.

As long as you have access to a quiet confidential space we can work together online. I have extensive experience working virtually, ensuring you confidentiality and a professional experience.

Clinical Supervision

Supervision works best when we work together collaboratively.

I am trained in Hawkins and Shohet’s Seven Eyed Model alongside IDM allowing me to work with your level of expertise either formatively, normatively or restoratively.

Whether you are just starting out and need an experienced therapist to help you grow or whether you are looking for a different perspective on your skills or maybe you’ve moved into CYP and need additional specialist knowledge.

In Person
I offer a private therapy room based in Westward Ho!, North Devon if you are looking for in person supervision.

Online
You probably already know the benefits of online supervision, but you save time and therefore money by working from your own space rather than travelling for supervision.

You also benefit from being able to choose the right specialist supervisor for your needs.

FAQ's

What happens next?

Contact me to arrange a no obligation, free consultation. We can arrange a time and I will either call you or we can arrange an online meet, where you can see if I am the right therapist for you. It's really important you find someone you gel with, and it's OK if I'm not the right one for you. I might know someone who is.

How long does a session last and how many will I need?

A normal therapy session lasts 50mins. Longer sessions can be arranged if requested. I'd also suggest you begin with weekly sessions, however fortnightly can also be accommodated.

Each person's requirements are different, and we'll review every 6 sessions to see how you are progressing and to ensure we are working towards your goals.

What's the cost and how do I pay?

Counselling - Each session is £60, payable in advance by bank transfer.

Clinical Supervision - £75/1.5hr, payable in advance by bank transfer. Shorter sessions can be agreed as needed.
